BIOGRAPHY
Stéphane Gagné has 28 years' experience in biotechnology, cosmetics, nutritional supplements and active ingredients. He holds two bachelor's degrees, one in economics and the other multidisciplinary, as well as a master's degree in business administration, all from the Université de Sherbrooke.
Since 2006, Mr. Gagné has co-founded four companies where he has held the positions of President and CEO. Mr. Gagné is now President and CEO of Immugenia Inc. a biotechnology company developing stem cell therapies not only to treat, but also to prevent relapse in chronic diseases such as cancer.
Mr. Gagné has played an important role in the growth of several Canadian companies abroad, thanks to his international network of contacts and his business acumen. He has held management positions in biotechnology, cosmetics and supplements companies, including Atrium Innovations, where he held the position of Vice President Sales and Marketing since its creation in 1999. AtriumInnovation was acquired by Nestlé in 2017 for US$2.3 billion.
Mr. Gagné volunteers for non-profit organizations and enjoys supporting other entrepreneurs. He has volunteered as a mentor to a number of start-up companies in phases 1, 2 and 3 of District Ventures, a Calgary-based gas pedal for healthcare companies. He currently coaches life sciences companies at the ACET incubator in Sherbrooke, where he also acts as a facilitator for a group of entrepreneurs looking to learn from the experiences of their colleagues.
